Currently the email update subscription form lets you choose between monthly or occasional emails. I’ll keep those choices, but am considering adding areas of interest, so that you could filter out news items that don’t interest you.
For example, if you represent patients at Mental Health Tribunals you might not be interested in a medical case in the Court of Protection and, similarly, if you’re a COP lawyer you might not be interested in an Upper Tribunal case about withdrawing applications.
What do you think of that idea, and what should the areas be? I was thinking of:
MHA
MCA
Other
An alternative would be to send everything to all subscribers, but group the email content into those headings to help you more quickly to choose what to read.
Although my interest area is the MCA I learn a lot from reading content from the other areas as well, but maybe having the option there for people who want a more focussed update would be good for those who want that.
Any ideas about extra areas? Here on the forum there are separate MHA and MHT categories (as well as MCA and Other). Should I do same for email newsletters, or is MHA/MCA/Other enough for that?
From my point of view no, but people in different roles may have different views… My only thought, as i work in L&D, would be whether there could be a specific section that just highlights all upcoming L&D opportunities (inc. free upcoming webinars and already recorded webinars) across all these areas rather than encompassing this into the category areas… If you already do this and i am missing something sorry.
