Typo at S.72(1)(b) MHA 1983

I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s noticed the minor grammatical error in s.72(1)(b)(ii):

that it is necessary for the health of safety of the patient or for the protection of other persons that he should receive such treatment; or

I do wonder whether this is a typo on the Legislation.gov website or the original bill. Does anyone in London fancy a stroll down to the Parliamentary Archives to satisfy this curiosity?

Well spotted! That’s an error introduced by the Mental Health Act 1983 (Remedial) Order 2001, when they were reversing the burden of proof. I hadn’t noticed so it crept in to my s72 page as well.
