I have a doubt. One of my section 4 patients have a court hearing on next week. He is at risk of absconding. So 2 staffs escorting him. Is it ok to take him on normal taxi ? Or shall I book secured transport for him. Please advise
Always be careful,secure transport is the best for your safety & to reduce the risk of abscontion.

This is something the ward would use the pool car for here.
If they need a secure ambulance to get to a court appearance it should maybe be considered if they are fit to attend such an appearance.
We use secure transport to transferpatients on section between different units etc.Patients c/o it was like a prison van/cage etc.
