Hi all,
I cant seem to find any guidance on how a patient can lawfully be transferred from the Isle of Man to England/Wales. I believe a warrant would be required. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Section 88 and 89 of the IOM MHA 1998 are what you are looking for
The MHA has sections to enable such transfers to take place which are summarisedbelow for transfers from England or Wales to Scotland, Northern Island or Isle of Man/Channel Islands.
Isle of Man/Channel Islands
| S84 and S85 | Detention in hospital |
| S85ZA | CTO |
| S85A | CD |
| S85 | Guardianship |
The mechanisms for these transfers are complex and vary according to the laws within the other jurisdiction. The Department of Health Reference Guide Chapters 25-28 deal in detail with all aspects of the processes of transfers between England and Wales and Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man/Channel Islands.
Fantastic Jackie, thanks for that
