Event. Event:COPPA: The transition between Children and Adult services (Newcastle/online, 12 May 2026) — The event’s full title is: “An evening with Mrs Justice Theis: The transition between Children and Adult services”. There will be a series of talks from His Honour Judge Smith, District Judge Temple and Brett Davies (Spire Barristers) about the transition between Children and Adult services, High Court DOLS applications for 16/17 years olds, and the transfer of these proceedings to the Court of Protection. Cost: free. Location: Newcastle Civil and Family Courts and Tribunals Centre, Barras Bridge. Time: 5pm to 7pm. Event:MHLA: Panel course (Leeds, 25-26 June 2026) — The Mental Health Lawyers Association is an approved provider of the two-day course which must be attended by prospective members of the Law Society’s accreditation scheme (formerly called the ‘panel’).
