I have a client trying to challenge a diagnosis of somatoform disorder. They have been seen by a variety of physical health professionals who have provided a diagnosis of Ehlers–Danlos syndrome and laryngeal hypermobility.
Does anyone have the contact details for a doctor able to produce an independent report? While making enquiries it was suggested someone from liaison psychiatry (being the connection between the body and mind) would be most appropriate but I haven’t found anyone so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Preferably in the North East, but will accept further afield if able to meet via Teams.
