Dismissal of a Hospital (Mental Health Act) Panel Manager

In what circumstances can a Hospital Manager be dismissed?
For example disagreement with other panel managers regarding decisions.

How a panel is conducted in respect to ena ling. Involving the patient. Matters of legality!

Each Trust/Hospital will have its own policy as to how panel members are recruited, managed and their appointments terminated, but we known that they are workers as per the Employment Rights Act 1996.

A disagreement with other panel members on its own would not in my opinion, be grounds for removing someone and I suspect that most other people would hold the same view.

Constructive discussion amongst panel members is to be encouraged in order to reach a properly considered final decision, whatever that may be; even if it means for instance (in the case of a three member panel) that two members were in favour of discharge and the other was not, meaning a panel decision of ‘no discharge’.
