If a patient CTO is revoke he goes back on his S3 and has an automatic tribunal for the revoke.
His S3 is then renewed, does the hospital have to do another automatic tribunal or does the first one count as within the S3 first period.

Yes, the another referral should take place (first 6 months) of the Section 3 as the section restarted at the point of the revoke

The managers do not need to make a six month reference if they’ve already made a reference because of the revocation. See s68(3)(c).
The three year reference rule still applies.

Agree with Richard on this one. 6 months reference not required if they already had one following revocation. Next mandatory reference would be 3 years if an adult.
