Concurrent DOLS with Recommendation for Section 2 MHA

Patient admitted to hospital with little capacity or insight for General Treatment DOLS issued

Patient referred when MOFD for a MHA assessment. Section 2 recommendation issued

Patient because of Hospital licence issues , cannot be fully sectioned until a Mental Health bed has been identified

Same Patient waited well over 30 days for a Mental Health bed

Section 2 recommendations renewed x 3

Can DOLS & Section 2 run concurrent or if not which supercedes

This is a regular occurrence which I need clarity on
