Can a Section 37 and 48/49 run concurrently?

We have a patient who was subject to S37 out of area and subsequently placed on remand on transferred to us under S48/49 for a separate offence.
What happens to the S37 - does this automatically end or will it run concurrently?

Section 48(3) states that section 47(3) applies which means that it has the same effect as a hospital order under section 37. As such section 40(5) is applicable which means that the section 37 you describe, comes to an end.
