Amendment of section papers using app that re-dates document with incorrect date

Our local trust has brought in a new system by which section papers can be amended under Rule 15 MHA apparently using an ‘App’ . The problem is that the App automatically re- dates the document so that the amended Application/ recommendation shows an incorrect date.

The MHAN has agreed to send the original and amended papers but I think this is wrong and has potential to cause confusion . Has anyone else had this?

No I haven’t come across this but at the very least I’d be concerned about being reliably assured that the requirements at 6(1)(a), 11(4) and 12(1) MHA 1983 are met. As long as the original section papers are kept on file I don’t think it would run afoul of the legality aspect, but the MHAA should be aware they’ll need to send both versions to solicitors.
