I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s noticed the minor grammatical error in [s.72(1)(b)(ii)](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1983/20/section/72/2007-12-01): > _that it is necessary for the health **of** safety of the patient or for the protection of other persons that he should receive such treatment; or_ I do wonder whether this is a typo on the [Legislation.gov](http://Legislation.gov) website or the original bill. Does anyone in London fancy a stroll down to the Parliamentary Archives to satisfy this curiosity? ---

Well spotted! That’s an error introduced by the [Mental Health Act 1983 (Remedial) Order 2001](https://www.mentalhealthlaw.co.uk/Mental_Health_Act_1983_(Remedial)_Order_2001), when they were reversing the burden of proof. I hadn’t noticed so it crept in to my [s72](https://www.mentalhealthlaw.co.uk/MHA_1983_s72) page as well.
