# Section dates after CTO revocation

my client was detained under Section 3 on 1st of January 2025, on 5th of May he was discharged on CTO. October 3rd, the CTO was revoked. My question is, does date of Section 3 start on the original date, or does it start on the date when the CTO was revoked?

S3 dates back to when first made. CTO has the effect of suspending the S3, and revoking the S3 re-instates the initial S3.

The section 3 will now commence from the date of the CTO revocation, not the original date of the section 3. The section 3 will now run for 6 months, 6 months then annually from the date the CTO is revoked.
